This is not goodbye

The past few months have been the countdown to a bitter-sweet farewell.  While im excited for new adventures, im also really sad to say goodbye to all the amazing people that have made the last two years the best time of my life.

When i started at Flyover a year ago i had no idea how important these people would become now in my last few weeks it is getting so hard to say goodbye and to know that i wont be seeing them everyday.  They are a crazy bunch but that is what makes our job so much fun and that reflects on our customer service.  This summer with the Flyover crew has been they best summer i have had in a long time, yeah it has been busy and yeah there has been many tough moments but as a team we all got through it.  We had the tourism challenge at the start of summer which was great as it meant we could go out and see all the amazing tourist attractions that Vancouver has to offer for FREE and we got to hang out with each other at the same time.  I am however happy that some of them are planning on coming out to Australia next year which will be amazing to see them all in the land downunder.

My lovely Gamedayers i love you all so much the past two years have been amazing and i am so lucky i got to spend it with you amazing people.  We have had so many great times at work and outside of work i honestly feel that we are just one big family.  In my two years with you guys we have done Heritage Classic 2014, Grey festival & cup 2014, two Whitecaps seasons, two Lions seasons and lastly the Fifa Womens world cup, there has been so many challenging times during all of it but we survived and stuck together as a team.  I am so proud of each and everyone of you, i know you will all do great with whatever life throws at you.

Last but not least Greg,Chloe,Wayne, Becki, Charlotte, Sarah, Rachel, James, Adele and Kerrianne   you guys are what have made my time year, without you guys my time would have really sucked.

This is not goodbye simply see you later.

New visa new job new apartment more adventures

Since my last blog my life has been pretty hectic with new visa applications, new job, new apartment and lots of adventures so I haven't had time to keep my blog up to date.

So the day I got my new visa I went to my first hockey which was a great experience however I am not used to sitting quietly watching any sports - I like to make loads of noise and cheer my team on. I am told it is a Vancouver thing which I have since discovered to be true.

I got a new job at flyover Canada as a guest service agent which is a pretty amazing job. Flyover is such an amazing company as it is brand new and it is the longest stimulated ride in the world which amazing to be part of that. It also helps that it is a pretty amazing experience with the most breathtaking views ever.  I also have some of the best work colleagues ever. I love the fact that we are all a team inside and outside of work. I had only just started and I was invited out with them for drinks and to giants games which were so much better than Canucks games.

In November I went home for a surprise visit which was great being home seeing everyone and having my home comforts but at the same time it made me realise that I no longer fit in with my friends. They have moved on although still doing the same things they did before I left they just have got used to me not being there. I also realised that I have nothing in common with them anymore. They don't know about all the amazing things I have seen or done. They just don't seem to understand the need for me to travel.

Myself and my friend Becki decided we were going to go to Vegas for my birthday in February and I happened to mention to my friend Victoria back home that I was going so she decided she wanted to join us so our girlie holiday became a reunion for us two which was amazing as I didn't see her when I went back. I managed to score us vip entry into all the clubs that we went which was so amazing (free entry free drinks). Limos everywhere, vip entry we were living the life.

In between all of this I moved apartment to right by both Rogers arena and BC place which is amazing and the views are so great.

Trip accross the rockies

Me and my room-mate decided to take a road trip to the rockies since she is leaving to do some more travelling.

We started in Valemont and stayed in the Ramada.  It was so amazing and we could just walk out our balcony into the pool and hot tub which was seriously cool.  Once we had settled in we went out for a bit to eat the Cariboo restaurant.  It was your typical in the sticks restaurant and i think that the whole village was there that night.  After our dip in the pool we went to bed since we had been driving all day.

Next up was Jasper and Lake Louise. On the way there we had to stop as there were3-4 cariboo and a bull cariboo. It was so amazing to up this close to such stunning animals. We stayed in the Hi Lake Louise which was amazing and it was so good you would not think that it was a hostel.  We got hope early to do hike the tea house and it was so worth it as we were the first ones up to the top which meant that we had a great opportunity to get great pics without having anyone get in our way.

Words cannot describe how amazing the views are. You really need to be there to experience it yourself as there are just no words to describe it.

We went to the Icefields after seeing the Lake Louise and it is really sad to see just how global warming is affecting places like this. It is just heartbreaking that it is slowly disappearing from our lives at such a rapid pace.

Next on the list was Banff. We did lots more sightseeing. We went to the Banff hot springs which was super cool being in a spring when its cold outside looking at the snow capped mountains. Each place that we go to is more stunning than the last.  We did this boat trip over the lake which was so amazing to be out on the lake and seeing all the mountains in all thier glory.

Our last stop on this amazing trip was Kelwona.  We didnt really do that much there it was more just a stop over to break up the trip.  There was however a canadian version of the Loch Ness Monster

Great road trip and almost 3000km travelled
