Flying bowling balls

Day 3

Well today is the day we start our tour, so excited.  We meet the final members of our group, went through all the boring paperwork.  We were heading to Washington Dc.  We had such a good laugh on the bus playing games getting and getting to know each other.  Then the conversation turned to sex.

We were shown how to set up our camp then we could go to the pool.  This campsite were staying is so cool it doesn't even look like a campsite has everything in it including a hot tub.  We had a few games of volleyball and chilled out in the hot tub talking about sex again.  It's like we have known each other for years haha.

After dinner we head out for the night illuminations tour.  My camera had decided it didn't want to work properly.  The tour was so amazing seeing all the buildings from movies and tv.

Day 4

We had another early start although we had a free day so we could do what we wanted.  We had split into two groups as all the boys wanted to go to the museums and the girls wanted the go to the Arlington Cemetery.  This place is so unbelievable, cant believe how many people have died in the wars.  They have upto 30 funerals a day.  Really brings a tear to your eye.

We went to see J F Kennedy's grave and the internal flame.  Also got to see the changing of the guard ceremony that they have at the tomb of the unknown solider.  It is guarded 365 days a year 24 hours a day.

After that we went to watch the world cup final but the queues just to get in the bars were huge, so we went to Nandos for lunch.  A few of us went back around the places we were last night so we could get day pics. Found out Spain had won so i was pretty happy.

Back at the camp we went for some relaxation in the hot tub, sightseeing really takes it out of you.  As it was Phil's 18th birthday today we had a party for him.  We also got to meet some people from the other tour group, that were going bowling with tomorrow when we get to North Carolina.

Day 5

Another early start as we have a seven hour drive to North Carolina.  I slept for most of the journey so i never really saw what the scenery was like along the way.  We arrived at camp Koa in Flayetteville when it was raining, so hard trying to put up a tent in the rain.  The thunder and lightening started so the guys from the other tour and Tommy their group leader helped us put up our tents.  We made a Singapore Curry for dinner which was so nice.  After dinner we dried out our tents and got ready for our first shop in Walmart.  I cant believe how huge this place is.

There is not much to do in this town so we headed to the local bowling had so much fun.  Everyone that knows me will know i cant bowl to save my life.  I ended up flinging the bowl behind me no idea how the hell i manged to do it.  Most people to bed early although a few of us from both groups stayed up to have a few beers.

Day 6

Heading to Charleston today it is only a four hour journey.  We were going to the plantation today which was quite boring.  We were caught in a really bad storm and were stuck under this canopy thing for like an hour until it had eased off a little.  Dont think i have ever shat my pants so much in my life with the sound of the thunder.
