Day 16

Off to Texas we go

We got a lie in today since we weren't leaving until 11.  We are going to Lafayette today and on the way we have got to go to walmart to get some more supplies and to get stuff for our cowboy night.  

We went to the tabasco factory which was so cheesy but at the same time it was awesome knowing that everyone in the world gets their tabasco from this very factory.  

After dinner we went to the cinema to see Inception at the Grand Theatre.

Day 17

Woke up covered in bites again i swear they love the taste of me.  We arrived at the Alamo Koa Campsite and just dropped our trailer as we were going to see the Alamo.  It was really not that interesting, we went on the river walk which was really nice.  We had a look around the shops and had some really silly moments trying stuff on.  

After dinner it was time to get ready for our cowboy night at a bar called Midnight Cowboy.  It was so much fun, the dance floor is a circle with the dj booth in the middle and you dance round in the circle.  We had a few games of pool and many many shots of tequila.

Day 18

Feeling quite rough today and we have a 8 hour drive awesome.  We are heading to a place called Barmorhea, Texas.  They have a natural spring which you can swim in.  It took me ages to pluck up the courage to go in as it was so cold, I ended up just jumping in.  Managed to do some snorkeling as there are fish in there.  They have diving boards where everyone kept jumping off.  Emma kept chickening out but i said if she does it i will.  So we both ended up down it twice.

We ended up hanging out with our neighbours who were texans. We had some smores and fajitas texan style.  Had so much fun playing flaslight tag.

Day 19

We got a bit of a long lie today as we weren't leaving until later.  We are heading to the Carlsbad Caverns today which is in New Mexico.  We were staying at Carlsbad campground.  We set up camp and had a shot on the swings before leaving for the caves.  The caves were really stunning.  Nanda says that some looked like deformed penises which they kinda did.  

We went to see Grown Ups at the drive in cinema which was so cool and a great experience.

Day 20

Left at 8am this morning to go to Roswell and Santa Fe.  We had to make antennas and hats for going to Roswell.  We were going to the alien museum.  Random people kept taking our photos because we looked that strange haha.  The museum wasn't that interesting, they only had one sighting and got excited.

On the way to Santa Fe, Harry took my ipod and put on all the cheese that was on there including Barbie Girl, so we all had a sing song with it blaring.  

We arrived at the Rancheros campsite in Santa Fe.  We never set up camp as it was pouring with rain so we just dropped the trailer and went to see the oldest church and house in the US. Me and Sophie got lost.  We took a few pics and then went shopping.  After that we went to a restaurant called Cowgirl it was so brill.  I had nachos and couldn't even eat half and it was a starter size.  As it was late we set up and went to bed.
